Some Features of Iowa ASCD

• Has a membership of over 575 Iowa educators.
• Publishes The Source on the first and third Friday of each month with special editions based on interest and needs of the membership.
• Works with state and national legislators, the Iowa Department of Education, and committees to inform and influence state and national education policy.
• Sponsors conferences and other professional development opportunities throughout the year.
• Provides the Iowa Curriculum Leadership Academy, developing the capacity of systems to increase student learning.
• Features both summer and a fall institutes to keep educators responsible for curriculum, instruction, and assessment "on the cutting edge."
• Includes opportunities for participation on numerous Iowa ASCD committees.
