Some Features of Iowa ASCD

• Has a membership of over 350 Iowa educators.
• Publishes newsletters, a journal, Iowa Educational Leadership, and other informative pieces.
• Works with state legislators, the Iowa Department of Education, and committees to inform and influence state education policy.
• Sponsors conferences and other professional development opportunities throughout the year.
• Provides the Iowa Curriculum Leadership Academy, an intensive three-year cohort experience.
• Features both a summer and a fall institute to keep educators responsible for curriculum, instruction, and assessment "on the cutting edge."
• Includes opportunities for participation on numerous Iowa ASCD committees.
